In 2026, the KOMIt Foundation achieved a critical operational milestone by completing its first independent external financial audit. This initiative was executed to validate the foundation’s internal financial controls, assess historical financial health, and establish a verified baseline for future institutional growth.
To ensure a comprehensive assessment of our operations, the audit scope encompassed two consecutive fiscal years since our first establishment: 2023 and 2024. The foundation engaged PKF, recognised as one of Global's top 10 accounting and audit firms, to conduct the review. Partnering with a firm of this calibre ensures that the assessment aligns with rigorous national and international financial reporting standards. At the same time, KOMIt is currently conducting the 2025 audit also with PKF.
The audit concluded with a "Clean/Unqualified Opinion" or Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian (WTP). Operationally, this unqualified opinion signifies that the KOMIt Foundation’s financial statements are presented fairly, in all material respects, and fully comply with the applicable financial reporting frameworks. It is the highest level of assurance an organisation can achieve from an independent auditor.
Securing a Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian rating directly validates the foundation’s structural integrity and strict compliance protocols. It serves as objective evidence that our internal mechanisms for tracking, managing, and deploying assets are highly robust. This ensures that every resource entrusted to the foundation is accounted for and managed with meticulous discipline.
This level of financial rigour is instrumental to our core mandate: delivering positive social impact. High financial efficiency minimises administrative leakage and operational friction. Consequently, a maximised proportion of allocated funding is directly channelled into our target communities and active field initiatives, translating financial inputs into tangible, verifiable outcomes.
In the current philanthropic and development landscape, stakeholders require measurable accountability to mitigate the perceived risks of non-profit partnerships. We view philanthropic contributions as strategic social investments. Just as commercial investors rely on audited financials to assess business viability, our stakeholders can utilise this clean audit as definitive proof of our institutional soundness. By securing a clean audit from a top-tier firm like PKF, KOMIt Foundation would like to provide current and prospective partners with the objective assurance needed to confidently engage with our organisation.
We invite individuals and corporate partners to leverage the KOMIt Foundation's verified platform to channel their resources, ensuring their social investments are managed with maximum efficiency, transparency, and integrity.
